The Oberjoch – Familux Resort, nestled in the sweeping mountain landscape of the Allgäu at around 1,100 metres above sea level, has long since become just such a place for many families. A place of reunion, of breathing space, of shared laughter.
It is to this very place that we now dedicate our full attention. Over the coming months, your favourite resort will transform into a retreat that elevates family holidays to a new level – grown with care, uncompromisingly premium, and with that refined sense for special moments that has always set Familux apart.
We are investing in what endures: in space, in tranquillity, in experience – and in the time you spend together as a family.

The renovation

In order to offer you everything at the quality you have come to expect from Familux, we will be closing our doors from 3rd April 2027 until 17th December 2027.
Until then, you won’t have to go without your Familux holiday. At our resorts in the Thuringian Forest, in the Salzkammergut and in Tyrol, we welcome you with open arms at any time.

An aquatic world, reimagined

Water connects – and in the new Oberjoch – Familux Resort, it will become one great, shared space for experience. The entire water and bathing landscape will be redesigned from the ground up: more generous, more premium, and richer in experience than ever before.
Expansive water areas create room for relaxed hours – whether swimming leisurely with a view of the mountains or letting the whole family splash about freely. Water to marvel at, to play in, and to let go.

For the youngest explorers

At the heart of Oberjoch are those for whom a holiday is the greatest adventure of all: your children. A brand-new children’s aquatic world is being created especially for them – a place full of surprises, lovingly crafted, designed with safety in mind, and brimming with discoveries both big and small.
What our young guests love so much about Oberjoch remains the foundation of everything we do: the warm, professional care of our dedicated team of Kids Coaches, a wide range of clubs for every age – from the very youngest from the seventh day of life through to teenagers – as well as unforgettable encounters, such as in our very own mini zoo. With the redesign, we are creating even more space for little personalities to grow, laugh, and form friendships.

Parents deserve their moments too. Generously proportioned new treatment and spa areas will invite guests to pause – a retreat for togetherness, relaxation, and mindful time out.

Cuisine with a view

At Oberjoch, dining is a shared experience – and here too we are setting new standards. A newly designed, generously expanded lobby will welcome you just as warmly as the enlarged restaurant and buffet areas, which offer more space, more variety, and more comfort.
In addition, a new à la carte restaurant is being created – for those special evenings when dining becomes a ceremony, with attention to every detail and every taste within the family.

14 exclusive chalets – your private retreat

Entirely new and truly special: 14 premium chalets are being created in direct connection to the resort. They combine the intimacy of a home of your own with the full wealth of experience that a Familux Resort has to offer.
With their own wellness and fitness area, the chalets provide the highest level of privacy and comfort – whilst also offering direct access to everything that makes Oberjoch so special. A temporary home that creates space for the most beautiful form of togetherness: family life.

Even the very first moment should be effortless. A new underground car park will ensure a relaxed, convenient arrival – so that the holiday begins the moment you open the car door.

When you can return

For the central renovation works, the resort will temporarily close from 3rd April 2027 for several months. Until then, we are available to book as usual. Following this, the Oberjoch – Familux Resort will open its doors once more – fully renewed and ready to delight you all over again.
